Friday night was Dorothy & Sherman’s beautiful wedding at The Castaway Restaurant in Burbank. Dorothy & Sherman are an amazing couple- so calm, simple and radiate true love inside and out! When I first met with Dorothy, I distinctly remember her wedding vision was to dance the night away! And indeed, that’s what they did! Their crowd danced all night long and they even got creative and incorporated their chair cover sashes into their dancing. Every where I looked, these blue sashes kept appearing on the dance floor… as dress sashes tied around girl’s waists, as scarves and boas, and even as a maypole with older ladies dancing in a group and circling around holding the sashes! Who would’ve thought these bows would become the hit of the party! This is one of the reasons I love weddings- every one is so unique and the experience we create is unforgettable! Congrats Dorothy & Sherman!
Mayanne & Danny’s wedding at Pacific Hills in Laguna was awesome! A large wedding with over 400 guests. Mayanne looked gorgeous in a very ornate gown and even more detailed cathedral veil (crazy how much it weighed!). Being Middle Eastern, they leveraged their culture as their “theme”, from Middle Eastern Dancers to a huge martini luge with a palm tree & camels. Each table displayed a number of appetizers and bottles on the table. Pacific Hills staff were professional and on top of it! Their escort card table was filled with sand and precious Middle Eastern family artifacts that added a sentimental touch. Mayanne & Danny departed in style with an exotic limo provided by Excel Fleet Limo. Photographer, Brett Charles Rose, & Videographer, Kleer Picture Films, were non stop shooting. Also, the photo booth provided by Photo Booth Pro was perfect to accommodate our large crowd and their high quality photos were consistent throughout the night! I’ll share the professional photos upon receipt. Until then, enjoy a few I took.
I recently had the pleasure of working with St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Santa Monica. This is a gorgeous church both inside & out, and the parish administration is YOUNG and great to work with. Fr. Tim executed the ceremony mass and I thought it was so nice how he hung out with the bride and groom and their family and guests after the ceremony. The church wedding coordinator, Lisa, was also super energetic and friendly, and worked with us as a seamless team to ensure the client had a beautiful ceremony. If you are considering to wed in a Catholic Church, I strongly urge you to consider St. Monica’s .
It is refreshing when my clients tell me what a great experience they had when shopping for their wedding gown. I’d like to recognize two boutiques that my clients spoke very highly of: The Wedding Day in OC and Glamour Closet in LA. The Wedding Day provided my client with excellent service with the added benefit that they work as a team so anyone can assist you. My client picked out as many dresses as she wanted to try on….allowing her to find her perfect dress! The dress arrived on time too!
Glamour Closet also gets thumbs up for great customer service! This boutique offers couture and designer gowns at outlet prices. The owners were very helpful and provided referrals to professional local tailors and discussed the alterations my client should consider. Worth a visit!
Have fun shopping! Would love to hear about your positive experiences finding their gown!
